Using the program
Set the language
You can change the language settings of the program by
selecting
the item 'Language' from the main menu. Select your favorite language
from
the drop down menu. Currently, these languages are supported: English
(default),
Slovenian, German, Afrikaans,
Catalan, Chinese, Czech, Dansk, Dutch, Finnish, French,
Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian,
Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian,
Slovak, and Spannish, Swedish, and Turkish.
Resize pictures
Currently it is possible to resize images in this picture formats: JPG,
GIF, BMP.
How to resize an image (or multiple images at the same time)
Select the proper tab, select the folder, that contains your pictures
and then select the pictures, that you want to resize, from the file
list. You can select multiple images by holding CTRL key while
left-clicking
the file name. Press CTRL-A if you want to select all the image files.
If you want to see the picture, double click on the name
and a new window with the image displayed will appear. You can close
the
window by left clicking on the image.
In the box on the right size of the window enter the new image size
in pixels. You can enter only one number - it will be used as new size
for the dimension, that is larger in original image. I.e. if the image
dimensions are 500x300 and you enter 100 as new size, the size of new
image will be 100x60. If the image size is 300x500 and you enter 100,
the new image size will be 60x100. The images are always resized
proportionally.
If you would like to see the results very fast and you don't mind about
the quality then change the slider from 'Better quality' to 'Normal
quality (faster)'. A process of resizing will be quicker but the output
quality will be worse. This rule specially applies to samll images.
When you have selected the desired pictures, click on the 'Resize'
button to start the resizing process. If your computer is slow, it may
appear as if the program has 'frozen'. Don't interrupt the program,
wait a little
longer, and the program will start responding when it finishes the
resizing.
The new images will be saved with prefix 'mini-' to the original file
name.
Convert pictures
The following image formats are supported: JPG, GIF, BMP. Currently
it is possible to convert images in these ways:
- BMP to GIF
- BMP to JPG
- GIF to JPG
- GIF to BMP
- JPG to GIF
- JPG to BMP
How to convert pictures from one graphic format to another?
Select the proper tab, select the folder, that contains your pictures
and then select the pictures, that you want to convert, from the file
list. You can select multiple images by holding CTRL key while
left-clicking the file name. Press CTRL-A if you want to select all the
image files. If you want to see the picture, double click on the name
and
a new window with the image displayed will appear. You can close the
window by left clicking on the image.
When you have selected the desired pictures, click on the 'Convert'
button to start the conversion.
If your computer is slow, it may appear as if the program has 'frozen'.
Don't interrupt the program, wait a little longer, and the program will
start responding when it finishes the conversion.
The new images will be saved with the same file name and extension
and will have a new proper extension added.
Rotate pictures
Currently the rotation to right and left for 90 degrees and turning the
picture upside down (180 degrees) is supported. It
is possible to rotate images in BMP, JPG or GIF formats.
How to rotate pictures?
Select the proper tab, select the folder, that contains your pictures
and then select the pictures that you want to rotate from the file
list.
You can select multiple images by holding CTRL key while left-clicking
the file name. Press CTRL-A if you want to select all the image files.
If you want to see the picture, double click on the name and
a new window with the image displayed will appear. You can close the
window
by left clicking on the image.
If the images that you are rotating are in jpg format you can set JPEG
compression
with the scrool bar next to the file names. Better quality of the image
will
result in bigger file size and smaller file size in lower quality of
the
image. Note that you can not improve image quality even if you set the
quality
to the best if the image was saved in low quality before.
When you have selected the desired pictures, click on the 'Rotate'
button to start the rotation.
The rotated image is saved in the same format as the original file and
the
program adds it prefix 'left-' or 'right-' - depends in which direction
the picture was rotated.

How can I help?
- Spread the word about the program.
- If you know someone who might need such a program, send them
the link to the programs web site at https://www.mihov.com/sw/en/ir.php and suggest them to download the
program.
- If you know a publisher of a computer magazine or if you
are one, suggest publishing a review of the program in the magazine.

But please don't send me e-cards or e-mails since my mailbox is already
full all the time - if you want to say thanks on-line, use the forum.
- Try to persuade me that developing freeware will help me
buy my own appartment and donate a few
Dollars for
a beer.
